Jenni
Jenni is from Strathaven, and joined Climate Action Strathaven as a Hub volunteer to learn more about Climate Change, and to interact with the community.
Jenni brings her impressive knowledge of local public transport, and cheery chat to the hub each week!
Jenni says “Volunteering with CAS gives me great experience, and confidence with public speaking. It’s good for my wellbeing, socialising with the community and the CAS staff. I love volunteering here, I love interacting with people, young and old, especially the wee ones who come in. I’ve learned lots of new things, checking bikes in, and learning about the projects.”

"It was on a trip to the famous Strathaven Balloon Festival that I first came across Climate Action Strathaven. Speaking to one of their volunteers, I found out more about this fantastic local charity and what they do for the wider community. They were also looking for volunteers, so I decided to put my name down.
I have been volunteering here every week now for the past 4 weeks and I’m thoroughly enjoying it. Every week is different and the community spirit is alive and well."
