Join the Fight Against Food Waste Through Community Fridge
Since launching our Community Fridge over two years ago we have saved over 34 tonnes of food from going to landfill.
Our volunteer collect food from local stores including Stonehouse Co-op and Blackwood Co-op on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening and the fridge is open to everyone to come along and pick up some food.
Climate Action Strathaven encourages every member of the community to use our Community Fridge. No matter your circumstances, every single person has a part to play in reducing food waste and helping our planet. Everything is free, just pop in to the Eco Hub and take what you can use.
