Content Writer - Social Media

Additional Information

Are you passionate about climate change? Do you like researching environmental topics and writing for social media?

If so, our small team are looking for volunteers to write content for us to post on our social media platforms; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Key Tasks:

Researching environmental topics - ensuring stories are fact driven and scientifically robust.

Writing up your findings in an engaging and easy to understand way.

Finding suitable photographs to accompany your story.

Experience of posting on social media is an advantage but not essential. Our team will provide guidance on the topics we are looking to cover.

When do we need your help?

This is a very flexible role that you could fit in to your schedule when you have spare time. Being able to provide a story regularly would be key, whether that be once a week, fortnight or month.

We welcome volunteers of all ages for this role. Please note that children will need to be supervised by a parent/carer when researching their topic.

Remember volunteering demonstrates initiative and is great for your CV. It is an important part of Duke of Edinburgh and other awards too.

Think this is right for you?

If you like the sound of this volunteering role please get in touch with us and we can organise an informal chat to help you get to know us and vise versa.
