3C Bus Service: Connecting Strathaven to Glasgow
Climate Action Strathaven launched the 3C bus service to Glasgow in October 2022, initially with one coach and six return journeys a day. Due to demand on the service, this was expanded to two coaches in August 2023, increasing the service level to 12 return journeys a day. It was further expanded in October 2024 with a third coach, taking us up to 17 return journeys a day to Glasgow from Strathaven, 6 days a week.
The 3C service takes people from Strathaven to Glasgow in around 40 minutes on a luxury coach, stopping at four bus stops in Stonehouse before hitting the M74 and the M8, arriving at its destination in North Hanover Street, in the heart of Glasgow.
Since its launch, the 3C averages sales of 11,000 tickets per month with a recent survey showing 70% of passengers would have driven to Glasgow if the direct bus was not available.
