Do you love being outdoors? Do you have gardening skills you’d like to share? Or are you keen to learn new skills in food growing and/or planting trees?
If so - get in touch! Over the coming months we will be working with local groups, landowners and local residents to:
increase the number of people growing their own food
increase the number of trees and heather plants in and around Strathaven
This will lead to lots of lovely carbon capture, reduce food miles and help our community connect and make new friendships.
When do we need your help?
This project is just at the development stage - get in touch if you would like us to add you to our volunteer pool for this project.
We welcome volunteers of all ages for this role. If you are under 14 years old you will need to be accompanied by a parent/carer.
Remember volunteering demonstrates initiative and is great for your CV. It is an important part of Duke of Edinburgh and other awards too.
